Up until the fall 2024 semester, I had no experience with using Blender, but as I've continued using it more and have gotten more accustomed to how it works, I've actually found it very fun to use. The renderings I've done so far are a little simplistic, but I'm still proud of them as they look good for someone who hasn't used 3D rendering tools like Blender before. The airplane I made was the very first thing I made on my own using Blender, while the pumpkin is something I've done more recently as I learn more about how to better use the tools in this program.
Simple Airplane, 2024
Blender, 3D Rendering
This plane was the first object I modeled myself using blender, and I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. Mainly, I used the extrusion tool, bevel tool, and adding meshes to make this piece.
Simple Pumpkin, 2024
Blender, 3D Rendering
This piece expanded on what I learned to do with the airplane above, but with a little more complexity. I learned about how to do image texturing, selecting multiple parts of the pumpkin at once to bevel them and make it look like a real pumpkin, modeling the bent stem, adding color and texture, and darkening the light to give the illusion of nighttime. This was much more of a challenge to make since I am still learning how to use Blender, but I believe the process was still enjoyable and that the finished product was well-worth the challenge.
